Riverbend Friends Church is a brand new church that seeks to join God in what He is doing in our community!

In 2007 & 2008, Tecumseh Evangelical Friends Church realized that they had come to the end of their life as a congregation. Yet they believed God was at work in our community and wanted to be a part of what He was doing. They began working with their denomination, the Evangelical Friends Church (Eastern Region) to plant a new church. That church is Riverbend.

The ground work was laid, a strategy agreed upon, and Pastor Andy Albertini was recruited to help TEFC conclude their ministry and to plant Riverbend Friends. 2008 to 2011 saw God working out the “passing” of TEFC and
the “birthing” of Riverbend. In July of 2011, with the bulk of the transition process completed, Pastor Andy and his family were called to serve a sister church in Marysville, OH. Pastor Mike Dennis was invited to lead Riverbend as Riverbend fully launches into the mission for which God has called us into being.

The coming year will see final details of our new beginning put in place and several “launch” events to celebrate what God has and is doing.
